About Us

Dunkeld House Beat

Dunkeld House Fishing is situated immediately up stream of Thomas Telford's 200 year old bridge.

The beat is set within stunning surroundings with 2 miles double bank, overlooking Dunkeld Cathedral and the fabulous Cathedral Stream which is classic fly water. Dunkled beat features 17 named pools that suit fly fishing, spinning and harling. It's easy to understand why this beat is so popular with visiting River Tay salmon fishers.

Salmon of 30lbs plus have been landed on Dunkeld House in recent years.

Dunkeld House Hotel is ideally located in the middle of the beat, with 4 star facilities, set in its own arboretum of magnificent trees.

In order to assist with salmon conservation, 'catch and release' is in operation on this beat.

The Ghillie

Meet the man who makes it all possible, the ghillie.

Gordon is a knowledgable, experienced and passionate angeler who spends his time on the river as a ghillie. He can cast a fly rod very well and is happy to teach anyone who wants to learn how to fly fish. Fishing from an early age, Gordon has an excellent understanding of the river and will always ensure the highest level of safety and enjoyment for every guest.

Our Mission

Our mission at Dunkeld is to provide an enjoyable expeience to every angeler. We aim to do everything in our power to ensure everyone gets the thrill of the catch at some point. Afterall, there is no more of an exciting feeling.
